AHA Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Skills Check

This is the skills check only portion for those students who wish to take the online AHA Heartsaver First Aid CPR/AED class.

This class DOES NOT meet the requirements for entrance into a college/university Nursing Assistant, Nursing, Pharmacy Tech., Phlebotomy, EMT/Paramedic, Dental or Physical Therapy Program. If you need CPR Certification for entrance into your program of study, please select AHA BLS Provider here.

This course is for every work place; corporations, businesses, schools, offices, hotels, contractors, security, teachers, parents, lifeguards, camps, family members, fitness instructors, child care providers, babysitters, scouts.

This Heartsaver First Aid CPR/AED course is an empowering class for the lay person. This course is NOT recommended for the medical professional or student.

The Heartsaver CPR/AED class covers the following and includes skills testing for:

• Adult CPR
• Child CPR
• Infant CPR
• use of a pocket face mask
• foreign body airway obstruction
• the use of the automated external defibrillator. 

Heartsaver First Aid teaches students critical skills to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives. Students learn skills such as how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock and other first aid emergencies.

• Bleeding Control
• Epi Pen Use
• Proper Disposal of Gloves
• Scene Assessment

You must bring the printed completion certificate from the online portion of this class to the skills testing site. If you are not able to print your completion certificate you may email the PDF or screen shot to Studentsupport@bestnc.com prior to your scheduled skills / testing session.
